I looked up this web site after reading an article on Moab in the Atlantic Monthly. Thirteen years ago I spent a couple days in Moab, visiting a bit of Canyonlands, Arches, and Dead Horse Point. I've always wanted to go back... Arches was one of the most beautiful and spiritual places I'd ever been. Hopefully, I'll make it back to the Moab area before too long.

I think this is a wonderful idea, more areas should do this! The ONLY thing we didn't find, was were to rent our travel trailer. We found that here before we planned our trip. I like the fact the area is accesible by computer, it saves on paper mail outs, lots of common questions, and locating maps, ETC... It is easy to use and has lots of useful information. Keep up the good work! Ted Spence (U.S.Navy-Ret)

The first time I visited the area was in 1970. I drove down in my jeep from Cisco to Moab along the Colorado River and came to a place near Moab that was as close to God as I've ever seen on earth. It had an area you could pull off the road and walk close to the river with a stunning view of the high walls of the canyon. I've visited several times since and was always stunned by the view. About a year or so ago we returned only to find that it had been overgrown and turned into a foul campground. Looks like another case of greed taking over the few beautiful spots left in the world. I'll never visit Moab again.

I was surprised by the traffic in Moab. It could be alleviated by synching the traffic lights on the main road. At present, every block requires stopping for a red light. Timing for green lights reduces congestion and pollution.

I just read an article about Moab in The Atlantic Monthly and feel quite drawn to the place. The West fascinates me, and I've been out there a couple of times--once to Texas, and last year I visited New Mexico and Arizona (and the Four Corners area, as well.) I'm a novice (very novice) mountain-biker, and plan on traveling to Moab in September or early October. I'll probably be traveling solo, so if anybody out there can hook me up with advice about tours, inexpensive places to stay, etc., I'd be most appreciative. Thanks!! Great website.

John is from Moab and I grew up there most of my life. Some of the Cleaveland family lives there now and this June there will be a Cleaveland Family Reunion there. John and I are planning on getting married in the La Sal mountains on June 19th. There is a great spot by Medicine Lake with the backdrop of Mt. Peale. The highest peak in the La Sals. We love that area and think it is the most beautiful place on earth.. Thanks

A strange and powerful pull has manifested in our lives to draw us to this magnificent and wonderful place. A strange and unexplained chain of events has led us to seek out this place called Moab, which we had no knowledge of untill just a few days ago. Something wonderful is here and we shall soon be visiting to find the answers to this strong need to understand. What mysterious force is at work that draws us to this place at this time, ah we must be patient and seek the answers with a clear mind and a sincere heart.

I visited Moab for the first time during Easter Jeep Safari week this year. I was raised in the mountains of Southeast Tennessee and North Georgia so I truly love and appreciate the peace and serenity of the mountains. But I was truly overwhelmed with the beauty of Moab. I wish everyone could experience the Arches National Park at least once. I got to see Gemini Bridges and I got to experience the thrill of 4-wheeling on Poison Spider. I hope to come back again for the Safari in '99.

Moab is phat. There is no riding like it in the world. I just got back from a trip there on Oct. 12 with 26 friends. If you go you have to ride porcupine rim. Amasa back has a great view at the top. At the end of Back of Beyond there is a stupid lady that asks for a dollar for walking through 50 ft of her property. The web site is great. All it needs a better map of all the mountain biking trails. Thanks. Moab rocks!!!

WOW, what a place, my family and I visited a few weeks ago and had a fabulous time. The people at the Euro-Am Inn provided a great continental breakfast and the river rafting with Canyon adventures was neat. The people we met from England and Scotland on the trip, liked it better then their rafting in Australia. Hopefully, someday, I'll make it back to enjoy the beauty of the area Thank you.

My husband and I LOOOOVE visiting the Arches/Canyonlands area when we go touring on our Honda Goldwing motorcycle (pulling our little tent trailer along). The richly colored red- orange rocks against the dark blue sky simply takes our breath away. Sure, we have some great scenic areas and points of interest in California, but these don't compare to the stark beauty of the Utah deserts. This September marks our 3rd year out to the Moab area, and we are looking forward to the visit. I'm making room in our trailer for all those Utah trinkets - Look out souvenir shops - Here we come!!

They offer guided off-road motorcycle tours for all skill levels from very basic beginner on up. The people there are easy to deal with and REALLY KNOW the area! I did it with some friends from back east and we had the time of our lives!

I've been here last year with two friends of mine during a long travel in USA. It was so great! I visited Dead Horse Point, Fiery Furnace, Needles ..... I miss it, a lot. I hope to come back next year, and I will stay more days than before. Moab deserve it. I can say this is the best place I visited in USA last year.

My family and I spent too little time in Moab three years ago on our way home from Pike's Peak, CO. We entered the city at around 2:00am and was welcomed by a wonderfully sweet, moist fragrance that was gone by morning. The moon was out and the sky was crstyal clear. It was so hard to go to sleep that night. We took as much time as we could to set up camp in the KOA in order to take in all of what our sense could handle. There was no one else around so it was like we had the whole world to ourselves. Moab is a beautiful town and I truly hope to return soon.

Absolutely captivated by the beauty of Moab, Utah. The landscape speaks many words with the colors, texture, and dominance. The land puts man in his place, letting him know who was there first, asking for respect of the land. God has made this place. Moab is a reminder that this world was created by a higher being, much greater than man could ever perceive. Whosoever shall relate this wonder to God above will surely put a smile on his face. Concerning travel info., would like more data concerning a guided tour, preferably someone with vast knowledge of Moab and a sense of adventure.

We had a very nice time Rafting from Moab to Lake Powell starting the 26.May 1997. The water was very high (since 1981 the highest). At Cataract Canyon I had a very bad accident and broke by 25 feet high waves my pelvers. A helicopter brought me in the hospital at Grand Junction. After a surgery the next day I have to stay the next 7 days in St.Maryôs Hospital. I think I will come again here to try it again.

Hi, Just found your site and it's great! We're pretty familiar with your area, having been there at least 4 times over the last 5 years. And guess what? We'll be back this year in September. Moab really feels and is home away from home, not only because of its beautiful scenery and surroundings, but most of all thanks to its friendly and lovely locals, who are always willing and prepared to help out some stupid (-:)foreign tourist. Keep up the good work in developing this great site, and be sure we will continously tell all our friends about one of the greatest spots on this earth : MOAB !

Call me a HYPOCRITE! I found out about MOAB in 1976 (when the A&W was still in business) and fell in love with the canyon country and have been coming back for years. I just wish no one else had discovered MOAB and the surrounding areas. Very nice web site, by the way. See you all (too bad) on the trails! :-> And by the way, I still have some favorite places which I will tell NO PERSON about. Hope to get back soon

Most complete visitor information we have found anywhere on the Net. Our original plans called for a 3 night stay in Moab...I can see we need to extend that to 3 weeks :-)

My family and I are very much looking forward to hooking up our tent trailer and heading your way this June. Would love to see Arches, Rainbow bridge, Monument valley & Bryce Canyon while were there. Moab is definitely on our list for at least two nights. I need some input from someone with Firsthand knowledge about where to stay and how long to plan for each place we would like to see. Ideally, we could stay at one RV resort for a couple of nights at a time. (It takes time to set a tent trailer up) and suggestions? Oh well, you have done an excellent job setting up your wep site. It has hightened my anticipation of getting to Utah and seeing what I feel is some of the most spectacular scenery in the world! See you this summer, Andy Pishue apishue@concentric.net

My friend and I just finished a driving trip from Winnipeg to San Diego and back. My favorite stop by far was the three days we spent in Moab. It was warm enough at the end of February to camp in Arches for two of the nights. We had a great time hiking and mountain biking. The scenery was awe inspiring. Next time I go I'm going to ride Slick Rock. If anyone is looking for good inexpensive accomodation try the Lazy Lizard Hostel.
