A stroll through the"History Hall of Dinosaur Movies", will entertain both children and adults. View a rare tyrannosaur from Mongolia and the gigantic arms of Deinocherius, and learn about the musem's research work on the Stegosaurus.
The museum is open Monday thru Saturday, from 9 to 5, from April 15 to October 15, including holidays. The hours are extended for the summer months of June, July, and August from 8 to 8.
Admission is $2. for adults, and 1$ for children and seniors. Special group rates are available for tours of 10 or more persons. Guided group tours are available with reservations at (435) 678-3454.
The Dinosaur Museum is in the City of Blanding which is located in beautiful San Juan County. The vacation spots of Moab and Arches are to the North, and historic Bluff and Monument Valley are to the South. Fresh air, spectacular scenery, and rich cultural experiences await the traveler to this region.
For a days worth of diversified museum viewing, Blanding is home to three museums which present Paleontology, Archeology, and Western USA history in both indoor and outdoor settings. Along with The Dinosaur Museum, there is The Edge of the Cedars Museum and State Park, and the Utah State University Nations of the Four Corners Cultural Center.

1. Tarbosaurus and Deinoncheirus.
Tarbosaurus from Mongolia is a tyrannosaur, and is related to the North American Tyrannosaurus rex. Accompanying the Tarbosaurus exhibit are the gigantic arms of the mysterious Deinoncheirus. This dinosaur is also from Mongolia and its gigantic over 8 foot long arms are all that has ever been found of this monstrous creature. The museum has a good representation of regional dinosaurs, and also houses examples of dinosaurs from around the world. Colorful global graphic accompany the various dinosaur exhibits and show the changing dinosaur world distributions throughout the age of the dinosaurs.

3. Dinosaurs in the movies
The museum houses the largest and most comprehensive collection of dinosaur movie posters on exhibit in the world, and includes examples of both domestic and foreign releases.
The exhibit is arranged chronologically and begins with the first"Gertie the Dinosaur" animation in 1909 through the early years of the silent films with the original 1925 "The Lost World". It continues on to the golden fifties "Animal World" and "The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms" right up to the current state-of-the- art in "Jurassic Park", and its sequel of the new "The Lost World".
Exhibited are one sheet posters that are 27" x 41", along with with fine examples of the oversized three sheet and six sheet sizes. Also on view are the press books, lobby cards, and the newspaper and magazine ads for various films.
