I spent the vast majority of my adult life living in Hermosa Beach, California. I expected to always have a longing of it in me. But I'm surprised that I don't even miss the ocean or the sunsets. Only the friends I left there. These pictures were sent to me in a Christmas card by Stan Clark, my roommate for 5 years.

I used to hang out on the boardwalk (called "The Strand") at the beach. Here's a live picture from a strand-side restaurant called Good Stuff. Best viewed on a Saturday morning when the place is mobbed with people waiting for a table.
